I ran the Crary sickle with 3 inch sections for years on a Gleaner then on a Case-IH (some wheat, mostly soybeans).....I really like the set up....I just got a new header with the standard Case-IH 3 inch sickle.....I can already tell section life is going to be less than Crary.....I think I will put the spring loaded hold downs on my new knife when the solid hold downs wear out......I don't know anything about the smaller knife sections.....I think you will like the Crary system......
