Subject: strip-tilling fall 2008

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNU6XjBXkiY#  You long time strip-tillers, give some pointers. This is in stripperhead cut wheat. I think made in the 60-70 bu. I'm still trying to get the higher-ups to try a dawn unit, but most are leary of the fert being mixed up in the berm, and not down in the furrow?? Is there a major diff between these 2 units?  I'd sure like the fact that the hp would be alot less. Last yr I ran it at about 8 in, this yr I'm going to go up to about 6. I'll be switching to liquid after I get about another 1,000 ac done.

Also, does my strip need to be more defined? tough to tell in the vid, but talk about residue, I'll get a vid of the 2 yrs of wheat cut w/ the stripperhead, wow!!
