Now for tape removal part of the operation. The first thing we are doing is running a coulter disk over the top of each line of tape to cut the tops loose and loosen the dirt a little to make the tape easier to pull.

Next up is the tape puller. The tape is looped up and over the rollers which are hyd driven as the tractor moves through the field. As long as things are working good you can scoot along at 3.5 to a little over 4 mph. The boys are riding the puller cuz every once in awhile the tape breaks and has to be tied back together

Our main problem we are having is we cant get these thing to stop growing and mature out. Like everyone else in the country our crops have been 2 weeks behind all summer long.  We are somewhat under the gun to get this tape out of the ground and get the rod lifter in the field and get these things curing. The inch of rain we had last Saturday kinda screwed things up even more this week.

This thing is the tape winder-upper. Just stick a 4x4 in the drum and start winding

Here it is getting several lines of tape pulling at once. We was trying to pull 1200' runs at once here and had trouble with it breaking lines so we had to cut it in the middle and only pull half lengths at a time. If things work good this machine will roll up about 50 to 60 acres of tape a day
