Radish doesn't like competition, I think it wouldn't do well seeded with rye. You may have enough season to get some results with radish, but I'd consider it risky right now (late) with the cost of seed.

I know a guy in Ohio who planted some various cover crops in PVC pipe filled with soil, just to look at different root mass accumulations. In that test, there wasn't any comparison between cereal rye and annual ryegrass, Cereal rye had a lot more root mass, and was deeper in the tube come spring. As a real bonus, cereal rye is pretty easy to kill.

I was looking at seeding rye and Austrian winter peas together once. Never did try it, but thought it might be a good mix here anyway.
