Southeast Colorado | Just got a new JD 568 round baler and the splines on the small 1000 pto shaft were too long to allow the retainer to lock onto the shaft of my 7120 Case tractor. Talked to the dealer and at first they thought I was crazy but they took it and tried it on other tractors and now agree with me. It works fine on JD but not case. They told me I would have to grind a little off of the end of the splines which I already knew had to be done. They wouldn't do it for liability reasons so I did and it now works. I just kind of thought that this was a little strange so thought I would pass this story along!
