Leesport, PA | In the next few years it may be time for our operation to update to a bigger grain cart. Our next step up will be to a cart that has the ability to legally fill a full sized hopper bottom trailer in one shot, so we will be looking at 1,000 bushel carts give or take a little.
Which is preferred - a single auger (corner auger) system or a 2 auger system (a flat and vertical - like Kinze) and why?
How do the balance between the two compare? (We would hope to run it on a large frame MFWD in a flat part of north central Iowa)
We will more than likely be in the used market - are there any carts or brands in the 1,000 bushel size that have major issues? Especially structurally? Thinking as far back as the Kinze 1040s etc.
