Subject: What can a 300hp MFWD do that a normal 4wd can't?

I just don't get why anyone would want a MFWD that big instead of just using a regular 4wd. I guess to me I think tractors like that 305 Magnum are just 305hp 2wd tractors with a helper axle. Are the small 4wd's the same money as the new big MFWD's when you add 3pt and/or PTO?
