Subject: CAT 45 won't track straight, for AP install

Have a 45 that CAT has worked on for 3 days. New diverter vlv, new steering valve, re tension tracks and recharged the accumalators. Before repairs would steer wrong in reverse(diverter vlv), drift to the left 10-15' over 400'+(steering vlv), tracks run straight when they have it up in the air, but still had them retension to get pressures equal. Of course they had never heard of pressurizing both sides at the same time??

Now it is off a couple feet (left) in the same distance and the comment " as good as it gets" is made. This was the same comment that was mde when we started this. Specs allow 4' drift per 100'????

Autopilot is not good, gave up last night attached the lister bar and went to the field. With 1" play total in the sway, rows aren't bad, but definately not as good as it should be. Tractor is always correcting, even when its not caused by the field. Have the track spacing parameter up to 10' helps respond faster, pump gain is back at factory parameter of 4. Pump knees values are higher for the left than right side, but no one at support has hands on experience.

Any thoughts or comments will be appreciated. Going back tomorrow to see if can settle it down.

Scott
