Mid-Missouri
On our 99 2388, I installed a 2:1 gear reducer 90 degree gear box (ebay) above the bin auger. I mounted it on a round pipe that was attached to the front and back of the bin. The reducer was driven off of the bin auger attached via a love joy coupler. I then added maybe two feet of maybe 5 inch auger attached to the reduced end of the gearbox, with a light bracket and bearing supporting the upper end of the auger. It fills the bin very evenly . I like the simplicity of this setup as well as the reduced power requirements unlike hydraulics. Also, no more plugged clean grain elevators in high moisture grain and the bin auger lasts longer. Good luck.
