I like the fact that with hydraulic I don't have to worry about getting shocked. Have heard horr stories of where a guys dog was killed by pissing onto the pivot or being shocked by stray voltage. With oil I believe Hank in Oregon said it best. Have a 2 ft cheater bar welded onto the wrench used for tightening the oil lines together. If they are assembled right they work great ( no oil leaks). Have no experience with towables here.

If the pH is something you'd need to worry about poly might be your best choice.
