NW Iowa | You don't necessarily need to use a floppy disk. We are currently using lexsar usb jump drives. The only problem is that you need to get a driver for whatever drive you are going to use on the floppy disk. Also you can put all the fields you want on a disk, until it is full. Just remember that your application report will save to the same location as your prescription file, so you do not want to completely fill the card/disk. We are running about 10 falcons all with usb jump drives. I will load the prescriptions for the day and won't see them until the end of the day. Some will use the floppies because they were cheap and convient, but most computers don't have the 3.5 drive anymore. O
One note: Don't use bigger than a 128k drive, Ag Chem said that too big of a drive will crash the falcon. Not sure if this is the case or not, we have been running 256 with no problems as of yet. | |
