If they aren't screwed together, I've sawed open the casing and Batteries Plus replaced the cells. Mine was a battery pack for an Air Stream helmet $215 new, Batt. + price $35-$50 can't remember for sure. Then I taped it back together with packing tape. It's held for over a year.By the way there is a Batteries Plus in Sioux City.
