Updating is quite easy, but you've the wrong files. Click on the link below and download the full package. Of course you don't have to install all the language packs so don't copy these to your USB.
How to update is very well described in the release notes (in the package) and also in the Getting Started Guide (see link below). After inserting the USB into the 500, follow the instructions on your screen.
