Subject: RE: a-b lines and different width implements

There are several ways to approach this problem;

1) True repeatability without any hassle you will need an AB line for each implement you use. They will have the same heading just different starting points.

a. Problem with this is the GS1 only allows 255 total lines to be saved to the memory card and you cannot use work descriptions for each AB line only number (and you need a cheat sheet)

b. GS2 will allow unlimited number of AB line saved per field. So you can name an AB line for each implement. i.e. I have AB lines for my 33’ planter, 47’ planter, 45’ cultivator, etc.

2) Use your original AB line for your applicator and do a 1 time shift track of X number of feet.

a. If you are the only one using the system this will work. If you have a hired man or a lesser qualified operator this could be a problem.

This brings up another issue of preserving AB lines for repeatability. I will start another thread addressing this issue.
