Subject: Old time field positioning

SC Minnesota
Back in the late 80's or early 90's there was a system that set some wire loop transmitters or receivers on the edge of a field that would triangulate a position on a fertilizer spreader. The units on the edge of the field, as I remember, looked like robots. I don't remember what was on the floater. Does anyone remember this? What was it called? What was the accuracy of the system?
