Camrose, Alberta | I have a 9860 STS with a 936D header, it has what I am told is a height sensor off a corn header. It works all right for keeping a normal cutting height, but can dig dirt when you go through ditches.
I use button 1 for up at end of field (feederhouse sensor), 2 for normal cut height (corn sensor) and 3 for lodged areas (pressure sensing). I found that if you use pressure sensing and dial it up to normal cutting height (8-10 inches of stubble left) you can run right through ditches and never dig dirt, it also works better on un-level ground.
The problem with the corn sensor is it takes one measurement on a 36 foot header, so the middle can be fine but the dividers can be digging dirt.
When I setup my cornerpost so I have just pressure sensing and the feederhouse enabled, it only allows me to use button 3 as pressure sensing and buttons 1 and 2 for the feederhouse sensor. I want to run buttons 2 and 3 on the pressure sensing and button 1 on the feederhouse sensor. | |
