I would leave the raven in there, as it is a pretty solid piece of electronics. If the 600 were to go down(it acts more like a computer to me), you are still rolling.
I did the same thing with an Envisio plus, let them talk to each other but you still can spray your load off if the Envisio (computer-like as well)craps on you... Just my $.02
