South Australia | Looking into a backup file issue for the neighbours who are using apex.
The problem is as follows,
1) The laptop that was running apex was playing up at the start of the year so it was sent back to the supplier to be fixed, the supplier was asked to backup apex, i believe at this stage they were running apex 1.5.
2)The backup file was returned on the laptop (apexbackup.zip) although apex won't read it (wrong file type (now running apex 2)) and when windows trys to open it tells me the compressed (zipped) folder is invalid or corrupted.
3)I spent $30 and bought a program called "zip repair pro" to "fix" the zip file.
4) Seems to have fixed the file but apex still won't accept it. Windows will open the file and show me the contents but won't let me open the files in it as it tells me it requries a password (no idea what the password is).
5) Don't know the password or even if i have the right data or if the data i have will be useable.
6) I'll attach a photo of what windows is showing me is in the zip file (btw the file is about 108mb)
Cheers
Sid
