Subject: RE: EZ-Steer mounting in TR-99

Well I have installed an ez steer in my tr98 and it did have plastic covering the spot where you mount the bracket. I pulled the steering wheel off and took a screw or two off the plastic and then the two bolts for mounting the bracket were exposed and away I went. I mounted the 500 at the top of the tower of cluster of lights that are on the right hand side of the cab. I suppose that a guy could just cut into the plastic on the right hand side of the steering column to get to the mounting bolts too. I might get some pictures today of what mine looks like. One thing that I do not care too much for is how the bracket and motor can hit your knee when you pivot the steering column. My wife calls it ez steer knee but puts up with it because now she does not have to worry about skips and full use of the header... Good luck.
