Subject: How do they come up with SSURGO Soil Data crop yields?

NC Iowa
Does anyone know how they calculate the crop yields for the SSURGO soil data? Some of them seem in line, and some seem really low. Do they just guestimate the county average for that soil type? I am referring to the attributes that come along with the soil data when downloaded from a place like soildatamart.

Thanks
Bryan
