FMD will replace planter monitor as well with the dickey-john equipment. Trimble calls it multi application control. We've 2 systems running now on a drill and planter and it works great. Allows you to both monitor and control your planter. So I will choose again for the FMD, because of the strong points which are already mentioned by the others.
