Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | The GPS connector on a YM 2000, PF3000 and Insight are the same layout. The connector is a 9 pin female.
The GPS information is available on Pins 2,3 & 5 as is common practice. Ag Leader also supplies 12V power and Ground on Pins 4 and 6. This can be very handy as a source of power and ground for a GPS.
However this can lead to problems if connected to certain equipment that is not expecting power to be present.
For this reason it is safest to use a cable from someone or somewhere that is familiar with the situation. If the GPS gets its power from another source it is safest to clip the pins other than 2,3 & 5 to prevent any bad surprises. |
