Thanks for the link & info. I'll consider that charger. Quite a nice discount now! I agree, I did not see anything about an "auto discharge" mode, which is what they need to add, I think. Seems electronically simple to me to pull the battery down to XX.X% (whatever experts agree it should be for extended storage times) and then maintain it at that XX.X% setting. I have no guarantee of the battery staying at ANY % while stored in it's waterproof carrying case. But, the deep cycle routine sounds legit....I guess.

Re. "upgrading firmware", I've chosen not to do those based on thoughts posted here on NAT & input from other drone friends. Seems some recent changes in DJI updates can make you wish you'd never done an update, and they're non-reversing, as I understand it. So, my drone flies just like it did last summer which was just fine...except for the one inoperative battery.
