South central, Nebraska | I have an AFS Universal Display Plus with the AFS 100 Receiver now. The touch screen is nice but the monitor is not as accurate as the AL 2000 I had in my old machine. It has not been determined yet if it is a hardware or firmware issues. I am getting new firmware for this fall.
I was told Ag Leader was involved in the design of the AFS system but the data collection is different than a true Ag Leader system. That leads to much frustration when trying to solve problems. CNH points to Ag Leader and Ag Leader points to CNH. It has been very difficult to get either one to step up to the plate and support this product.
I am not sure I understand what you refer to as a 2 antenna type system? I had a Garmin 16 (something) gps reciver on my old AL2000 and have an AFS 100 receiver on my current system. My observations are both have been fine for harvest needs.
At this point I would prefer to have kept my older AL2000. I hope I have a reason to change that statement after this harvest season. | |
