| Most mower decks are designed and shaped to feed the clippings out the discharge. I would think you would have to redesign the whole deck to funnel it out the rear. Sounds easier to mow more often.
For what it is worth, I hate mowing also. Me and the wife have a deal. I keep the mower running and she keeps the yard mowed. Something about my threat to get the sprayer and the round up out I guess.
