SE South Dakota | I trying to decide if something is wrong on my JD 9550 combine. See the attached photo please tell me if, on the display shown, is there backlighting on the display for the letters? Seems to me on my machine for instance the grain tank full light, the light will certainly come on when the tank is full but you really don't know if, at night, it is the grain tank full or something else because the words "grain tank full" are not backlite and they never are. This creates no real problem other than if a light and buzzer come on at night and you would need to shine a flashlight up to identify the problem.
Is this the way they are or has the backlighting failed on my machine. I don't think it has worked since I have owned the combine, bought it used, 1 year old. I might add that I rarely operate the combine but I do know the backlighting doesn't work. I would think it should come on with the headlights.
