Mount Vernon, WA | If there are "quite a few filings" as you say, I'd be doing more than just changing the oil. I'd be looking for the source. If nothing is wrong inside, there should be nothing more than pasty looking fuzz on the magnets.
After you drain the oil, pull out the suction screen and take a close look. If there is a lot more filings to be found, I wouldn't just close my eyes and put new oil in it. | |
