I've been using 9600 (170 knot strength) for years and love it. I started with Cordex brand this year (twine comes in shrink wrapped plastic with two nylon straps around it) and it worked fine. Now I am using Bridon and am not having any problems with it either. I paid $30 this spring, so it sounds like you have a good deal.
