| I wouldn't go any older than 2000 for better luck with the Northstar engine.
Change the antifreeze ever 2 years max. (it's only a couple gallons) and take good care of the car and it will take good care of you. As it is a aluminum engine take care not to run the car hard until it is warmed up.
The performance out of the Northstar is very impressive (if you haven't driven one....take a test drive and be prepared for a shock) and if you can behave yourself 25 to 29MPG can be expected on trips. Mileage in town will drop of course.
