My 1440 for some reason, to get the feeder house to go down w/o the header on, it had to be low idle, holding the switch down constantly, and sometimes moving the steering wheel one way or the other a little would let it go down better. Don't know why, it just worked that way.
Good machine, I miss my 1440.
