West Central MN | Was wondering where everyone is getting their training for all these high tech systems. I was invited for a training session at a dealership through a friend of a friend at a very reasonable rate so I went. Took me two hours to get there but man was it worth it. They sat us down and went through APEX software and GS2 operations, then put us in Kubota all terrain vehicles and made us simulate field operations and troubleshoot problems until we had them correct. I have been running GS2 for 2 years now and I learned more in 6 hours than I had in 2 years. So, I got to thinking about this last week spraying aphids; how does everyone keep up on this stuff? I would recommend this training session to anyone. Before we left we were also handed quick reference guides to give the other operators on our farm. Do the people who install the trimble, autofarm, beeline, JD systems, etc show you how to use them or do you just figure it out for yourself's? | |
