Lincoln, NE | I saw this method used near Vegas (Henderson) at the First International Drone Day - last year.
Downside is you are tethered (via the long cable) and not so mobile.
Personally, I need to be a little more mobile to move to point my antenas and other things - but if you think it'll works for you, personally, GO FOR IT.
Have you looked into the Zeiss Cinamizers - I own them and its a wild experience...but also have their downside.
