Subject: RE: tedbear -- tractor wiring strategy...our bus bars

Chebanse, IL.....

No nav-coms hooked to these....& they probably wouldn't meet FAA standards, but I like the idea of using these trailer wiring connectors from WayTek. The lugs are very heavy & will stand the amperage. We run an 8-10 ga wire to the battery & ground. Ground to battery also (white wire)...no room for excuses. You can choose to fuse @ the battery or not. It's hard to find an in-line fuse holder for 30+ amps though. I can never find one of 8-10 ga size. Seems 12 ga is common, but not good enough for 30+A. Anyway, I obviously made my own jumpers. There's room to stack 2-3 12 ga ring terminals per lug also. You could remove a jumper and start a seperate bus if you want, or jump off to a relay.

We've installed these on 2 tractors thus far this yr. I think they're $6-7 from Waytek.
