We have quite a mix and match of electrical components in our operation. I would like to standardize the power connectors for them a little. The thing that's getting me started on this is the ridiculous cigarette lighter connections used for power on some of the electronics we deal with. They work most of the time, but when you hit a bump just wrong, they give out. If I'm going to be switching this stuff over, I would like to start making things standard throughout our equipment. I was thinking of using weather pack connectors but we have some pretty heavy loads at times. We've got some electric pumps that pull 30 amps max and weather pack connectors from my research (which may be wrong) are only rated for 20 amps. What have you found that works well for high amperage, weather tight and quick? Thanks. |
