Illinois | Yes you can output gps to the E Pro from the 500. The only "issue" if you want to call it that, is that all of the 500's that I've done this with will only output the gps strings at a max of 5hz. I don't work with trimble equipment so I'm not sure if this is standard or not. Most raven receivers used for guidance are all running at a 10hz update rate for a quicker correction signal. The 2 systems that I have done, just like your asking about, are running fine without any complaints. Start bashing Trimble fans!
If you do want to stay with the 500 and go with an ez boom system, you could add the "stand alone" autoboom controller to take care of the auto boom by itself. | |
