Adams, MN | The EZ Guide 500 is unlocked for RTK and uses the Z Plus antenna. The InTime Connection is needed to stream the correction data to the EZ Guide 500. The InTime Connection cost about the same as a rover radio (900 MHz). We use this tractor for testing and demo and take it all over. We have not used an external antenna or a booster on it. The HTC 6800 phone just sits in the cup holder. We do have one system out that we put on a booster, since it was going to be used where there was no cell coverage, and it performed very well. We do bundle the InTime connection with a power supply, mount and an external antenna.
There is no comparison to this InTime on the VRS and using a single base and rover. Whether it's a tower network or a single private base station, you are working with only one reference station at a time. The VRS uses the 6 nearest reference stations to you. Just no comparison. We have even taken this into Iowa, 20+ miles south of the state line, with very good results. I was just there today checking repeatability. The point of the sweep (pictured in the video) was right down the middle of the mark from the previous times.
