I have two 7800s, both with power quad transmissions. For what you are describing, it should be a good fit for the job assuming the rig had a good prior home. Mine have been relatively problem free. The three point on these can freeze up if not used often.....takes time and patience and penetrating oil to fix. It has 145 stock horsepower. You mention tillage, my 26 foot field cultivator is a load for mine if the soil is heavy/moist. I have always been impressed with their good fuel consumption. It has a single shaft reversible 540/1000pto held by a snap ring. I use mine for a 15 foot drill, 1000 gallon sprayer, bat wing, grain cart, 12 row planter and tillage when the big tractor is unavailable. Ive had no rear end trouble to date.
