| I have a jd 5820 chopper with a 4 row converging corn head. I also have a jd 653 all crop head for harvesting sunflowers. I would like to use a 6 row head when the crop is lighter. I was wondering if anyone has tried putting a 653 on a 5820 using the adapter plate for a 643 corn head. Would it feed properly or would the stalks go in at an angle. If this doesn't work I may have to go to a 666 forage harvester head. Any thoughts.
