Camrose, Alberta | Filler plates in first and second sections. A third filler plate where the grain return drops into the rotor (section 4 or 5, can't remember for sure).
Feed accelerator on fast. Some guys say slow, because it prevents backfeeding.
Rotor at 950-1000 rpm.
Bottom seive at 3 or 4, unless white-caps are a problem then close it down to 2. Remember when you close the bottom seive to increase your fan speed, becasue you have just restricted the airflow.
Do not run you concave too tight. I cannot remember running it tighter than 12, usually 15 to 16. When you run the concave too tight the wheat travels through the rotor more quickly, rather than being hit by the rotor several times as it goes through. | |
