I agree that a twin tank softener system is the best. You never run out of soft water because it switches tanks as it regenerates.

I own a kinetico for a my residence and a fleck to soften my sprayer water.

The kinetico is a a good system but the company is a ripoff. The company is does not supply any information about the system so you are totally dependent on their serviceman. You cannot work on or service the system yourself.

The fleck system is also a twin tank system and operates similar to the kinetico. This system has twice the capacity of the kinetico. It is a 120,000 grain system. I bought it over the internet for $1800, less than 1/2 the price of the kinetico. It came with a complete manual so that I can service it and replacement parts are very resonable.

I would never buy another Kinetico. In my opinion the Fleck twin tank is the only way to go.
