Something like that happened to me, too. That time it was a litter of kittens that had been moved into the radiator fan shroud of my 7720. Not a nice sight.

Nowadays, before I start up the combine after it's been sitting a while, I walk around it banging on the sheet metal. I've scared quite a few assorted critters out since I began doing that, and a couple of them were large enough to have caused some machine damage. I forgot to do that the last time I started it, and somehow killed a cottontail rabbit. I have no idea how the critter got in or why it would have wanted to.
