Subject: Replacing an 8v92 with an I6 cummins or...

I'm sort of interested in a manure hauling truck (freightline cabover) that looks pretty nice, but needs an engine rebuild (lots of blowby - maybe normal, but probably not). I'm wondering if an inline 6 like an 855/N14 engine would go in it's place ok? I'm thinking most truck chassis are designed to handle a number of engines, but would an early 80's freightliner be designed so just the V8 would fit?

Thanks, Pat
