SW of Enid OK | I assume this is a No-till drill? I've had one for about 5 years and have been pleased with it. It worked good in min till or even conventional when I had some in the past, now I'm all NT. You can set the openers deeper and then the coulters don't even have to touch the ground when it's soft. The only issue I've had with mine is the shank that the two openers bolt to is alittle light. I've turned at the end of a field on tighter ground, bofore it was fully raised and bent one on the outer wings. I think, though, they've reenforced that on the newer ones. First set of blades and bearings lasted about 7000 acres. Keep the coulter bearings tight.
You could spend a lot more money and might do better, but for what it is I've been well pleased. Any other questions.. ask. Jim | |
