| We used one for water at the farm until about 20 years ago when we ran underground wire and put a pump in the well. The well was basically a half mile from the house. It seemed like something would break every spring while busy. I was sure glad when rural water ran a line on our place about 10 years ago. Lighting got either the pump or the wire to the well about 2-3 weeks before the rural line was ready so I just hauled water then. | |
