Dad thinks the same way you do Steve. We shut down just before 11pm on Thrusday nite and got everything unloaded and put away. I didnt like it but it made more sense than climbing the bins to close them in the lightning. It was still probably too close to be on the top of a big metal tube 60' in the air. We would have really been SOL if the leg would have gotten hit while I was unloading, I avoid that boot pit with a passion.
I did push a couple of nites this week to at least finish fields when it was late, it just makes more sense to be able to move in the hours before we can cut than to burn up valuable dry cutting time moving to another field when there was just 10acres to finish that we didn't do the nite before
