Macon, IL | Building new booms for ATV sprayer-going from 2 nozzle to 7 so I know I need a new pump. 100 inch boom-140" coverage. 1gpm pump I have now will not cut it. Looking online I can get a 2.1gpm for $73 or a 3.8gpm for $104 so price isn't that much different.
Use is spraying yards, waterways, terraces, and ditches and touchups from my poor driving with field sprayer and where it just didn't quite match up with terrace width.
Couple questions:
1) Only have a 25 gallon tank, is 3.8 gpm necessary for 7 nozzles?
2) I have a switch wired directly off battery-will my little ATV battery even run a 3.8 gpm pump?
Also should mention that I will occasionally fold back and turn off the wings (putting valves on wings) to still spray 4ft around some narrower places and arount trees in parents yard.
