There is a liner that goes around about a third of the circle.  It will develop a groove in it, if you haven't replaced them you might look.  I had oneof the little pins shear and then spun it tight.  Ended up being those liners.  I replace them every year now and don't use graphite.  Cost of replacement is about the same as the graphite I was  using.
