Gridley IL | we have a 500 and and sometimes this happens, seems to me when we reflighted the augers that you can adjust it at the top with the locking collar if the drive cogs(at the hinge) are causing the problem of keeping it open. when we put it back together we did not have it quite right and made a mess with it in a hurry. it will still occasionally not go totally over center just from bouncing through the field because basically that top is freewheeling and can shake around a little. when dad and i are running it we usually put the auger down but when my wife or mom are running it we go through the field with it up because we don't always tell them all the "little things to check" like the corn spewing out the hinge. | |
