| you may need to slow a bit if you cant keep the machine loaded. Ok, good to hear you did'nt have a mental break down and screw up an otherwise fine machine....:-) You may have to slow the rotor a bit too depending on load. Usually in grass or stuff that the header takes very little to no hp, I run by the rotor tach to gauge a full machine. I'll run with a given drop in rotor rpm from empty free spin and set the rest of the machine around that drop. Then I have at least a good chance at keeping a steady even load on the cleaning unit which keeps more seed in the machine. Grass is somewhat sensative to fan speed as you know, so an even load is important to keep from going insane trying to figure out why it all blows out on one side of the field and overloads the shoe on the other. | |
