Western Nebraska | I would reinforce what Jim has already said. We have a 2090 and a 2290. The 2090 has a loader on it and we have split that tractor more times than I care to think about. If you aren't going to be using it for loader work, just normal pulling, chances are you won't have a lot of problem with it, but if you use the clutch a lot avoid these things like the plague. The engines on both tractors have given us very little trouble. We had a stuck piston on one once and that is about the only problem with the engines that I can remember. We have a terrible time keeping the air conditioner working in either one. The cab fans seem to be really weak.
If you are looking for a reliable tractor, bypass the 90 series and go for a 7 or 8000 series Magnum. You won't be able to find a more bullet proof tractor. You will pay quite a bit more ($20-30,000+) than for the 90 series, but every penny is worth it in these tractors.
